Hello and welcome to my art page!

I’m Yvette, though my family calls me Yvetka. It’s a sweeter way of saying my name in Ukrainian. I was born in Estonia, lived in The Netherlands, and immigrated to Montreal, Canada when I was five years old. Later in life, I also lived in Los Angeles and Shanghai. I speak five languages, including Ukrainian, Russian, French, English, and Spanish.

Being immersed in various cultures from a very young age sparked a deep appreciation for linguistics and human connection. This led me to become an English as a Second Language teacher for a few years, alongside being a serial traveler. My world adventures have made me savor the charm of small moments on a much deeper level.

My artwork serves as a platform to express my passion for language and philosophy. Through it, I hope to inspire reflection and meaningful dialogue around experiences and the values that shape us. Blending texture, color, and movement, my work lives in public spaces such as hotels and restaurants, as well as in private collections through custom commissions.

When I’m not painting, I enjoy discovering uncharted travel destinations, experimenting with recipes, hiking new trails, and dancing to groovy tunes. If you have suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope my creations bring you bliss!

With love, kindness, and patience,
Yvetka
